Catching My Breath
Now that I've had time to take a minute and have some time for myself I decided it was time for a new post! After working until 1 am Friday and having to be back by 7:30 for a 1500 person event and proceeding to work for a 14 hour shift all day Saturday, it didn't leave time for much else. It was a long couple of days! I took Sunday with my guy to sleep ;) and get my errands run since I knew there would be no other time to get them in. Then back to class yesterday! It's making me very determined and proud of myself for being able to balance all of this, although, it's hard to be away from home as much as I am. But this is all just a stepping stone to my next be step after graduation. Getting through this will make it more than worth it. It also makes me appreciate the down time I do have, however little it may be. It's these times that make me realize how special life and those around us are and how easily that is forgotten these days. It gives me something to looking forward to, the future, the possibilities, and the endless dreaming ahead of me. It's finally Spring, and the flowers are blooming, even more to boost up my mood! Also, another reminder that I'm that much closer to finishing one of my two final semesters in college. I was also reminded today how luck I am to have the friends I have. My best friend lives hundreds of miles away, we text when we can but talking on the phone with our schedules is nearly impossible, and today we got to talk for an hour, regardless of how long it's been since we talked last, it's like we never skipped a beat. She's always there for me and is one of the most amazing people I know, and I wish she knew just how amazing, strong, courageous, and how beautiful of person she truly is. She is a once in a lifetime friend. Well friends, it's been a wonderful day, full of friends, family, reminders, and optimism. I hope to share that with those around me. For now, I'm going to go finish my lemon poppy seed muffins, and get everything ready for Beef Stroganoff for dinner with me and my guy. Have a good night y'all, and never stop dreaming!
